On the occasion of celebration of the World Water Day and World Meteorology Day, the Third International Conference for Young Scientists on ‘Modern Hydrometeorology: Topical Problems and the Solutions’ was held on 21 – 23 March 2018 at the premises of Odessa State Environmental University (OSENU) with participation of the Ukrainian Meteorological and Hydrological Society, established in 2017.
Young scientists from Finland, Lithuania, Syria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Ukraine presented their papers. For each of the sections, the results were summed up and the best papers were selected.
In the framework of the Conference a round table on dissemination of the ECOIMPACT project results was organized (8 pers.).
The Scientific Committee of the Conference was composed of: Mykola I. Kulbida, Director of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center of Ukraine; Viktor M. Sytov, Director of the Hydrometeorological Center of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov; Valentyn K. Khilchevskyi, Head of the Department of Hydrology and Hydroecology of the Faculty of Geography, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Halyna V. Liashenko, Chief researcher of the National Scientific Center ‘Institute of Viticulture and Winemaking named after V.E. Tairov’, as well as the leading scientists of Odessa State Environmental University, other universities and representatives of hydrometeorological centers.
